Aluminum insulation works in conjunction with your normal insulation, making sure that your home isn’t taking on excess heat from the sun. This means your heating and air conditioning units won’t have to work so hard to keep your home a consistent temperature no matter the time of year. When your heating and cooling systems don’t have to run all year round, then you save money. For insulation that will save you money, contact Clear Energy America today!
How it Works
As heat from the sun radiates through your roof, it heats up your house, causing your A/C unit to work harder to keep your home at the desired temperature. The aluminum insulation is installed in your attic, in addition to your normal insulation. The reflective surface helps to block excess heat, keeping your house cooler in the summer, and saving on energy costs.
Similarly, in the winter months, heat will escape your home causing your heater to work harder to keep your home nice and toasty. Aluminum insulation will help reflect the radiant heat back into your home. This means you don’t have to worry about over working your heater, and you’ll be saving on your energy bills all year round.
How well does it work?
Aluminum insulation works in conjunction with your normal insulation, blocking 95% of the radiant heat that would normally be absorbed by your home. Unlike other products that tear and wear out quickly, we use only the most durable premium grade insulation:
- Class A
- Class 1ASTM E84 fire rated material
- High-grade hot-pressed infused aluminum
- 5 mm thick
